I recently stopped by Miller Road Park on Lake Erie in Avon Lake, Ohio to watch the sunset. There was a fair amount of wind-swell and the movement of the lake waves against the docks and rock cliffs generated an impressive, constantly shifting display of backwash explosions, backlit by the setting sun. I didn’t have my full frame camera with me, only my Sony RX100vi, but I cranked shutter speed up to 1/1000th of a second and started banging out shots to see what I could capture. I’m always amazed by the detail and texture of moving water that you can capture with high speed shutter photography. Your naked eye can never capture the complexity of the entropy.
