I traveled to Phoenix on business and then to Birmingham to visit my daughter in November of 2018. I took photographs of the rocks and mountains just outside my hotel in Phoenix and hiked around a bit in Birmingham. I took a photo walk within the old Sloss Furnaces Works in Birmingham, where many of these photos were taken. The Sloss Works is a National Historic Landmark and was once the largest producer of pig iron in the world. I love industrial decay and there are many cool places to take photos on this site. I also got some decent shots of Peavine Falls, a nice waterfall in Oak Mountain State Park. The photographs in this collection were taken with a Sony A7iii and a Sony RX100vi.
